Our Mission
The Crossroads Writing Project's mission is to promote exemplary instruction of writing by empowering teachers as writers, researchers and leaders.


Until June 1, Crossroads Writing Project is offering tailored professional development that includes 12 hourse of instruction and funding for participating teachers. This opportunity is being funded by a Title II Grant and must be completed by June 1.

An intensive 16-day summer institute program where teachers demonstrate and share their best writing instructional strategies, practice being writers, and develop individual research projects.

One- or two-week long intensive coursework for teachers designed around teachers' interests, such as "Writing and Technology" and "Writing Across the Curriculum."
The 2008 AI Applications will be available soon.
Afternoon or evening workshops on specialized topics such as incorporating 6+ Traits, reframing assessment, or developing writing workshops.
